Business Development Manager(BDM) – Digital Marketing

At Intelcraft Infotech, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager for Digital Marketing to join our innovative Edtech company. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential clients, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will promote our cutting-edge courses in Business Intelligence (BI)Machine Learning (ML)Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and market expansion. We are currently offering Training through Online methods and Direct Centers in Madurai & Bangalore with job Placement assistance. We will be launching our own LMS website shortly, with self paced training courses with relevant Q& A sessions. In future we are also planning to offer Corporate training and Software Training in Educational Institutions soon. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of digital marketing strategies. Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition: Identifying, qualifying, and engaging with potential clients, including educational institutions, corporate clients, and individual learners.
  • Needs Assessment: Understanding client needs and pain points to tailor solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Solution Selling: Effectively communicating the value of the company’s offerings, such as BI, ML, Data Science, and AI courses.
  • Relationship Building: Fostering strong, long-lasting relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Managing and prioritizing sales opportunities to maximize revenue.
  • Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiating contracts and closing deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Market Analysis: Staying updated on industry trends and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, operations) to achieve shared goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Setting realistic targets, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and regularly reviewing progress.
  • Market Intelligence: Keeping abreast of industry trends, competition, and market dynamics.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree in Digital Marketing is an advantage.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or digital marketing, preferably within the Edtech or education sector. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO tools, social media management). Familiarity with CRM software and data analysis tools.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Edtech industry, including trends and challenges in BI, ML, Data Science, and AI. Knowledge of online learning platforms and course delivery methods.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. Strong negotiation and presentation skills. Analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring a team, with a collaborative and motivating approach.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify problems, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

Basically, Day-to-Day Tasks may involve the following tasks mentioned below. But some times the tasks may slightly change depending on the scenario.

  • Client Meetings: Conducting meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Proposal Preparation: Preparing detailed proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Market Research: Conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Sales Calls: Making cold calls and follow-up calls to generate leads and close sales.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiating terms and conditions of contracts with clients.
  • Team Meetings: Leading team meetings to discuss progress, set goals, and strategize.
  • Reporting: Preparing regular reports on sales performance and market trends.
  • Training: Providing training and guidance to subordinates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
